Shadow as repetition
This picture shows an impressive shadow effect to me. l was attracted by the colour of this picture in the first sight. It completely showed the form of shadow clearly. In this image, the shadow looks like an extendtion of the object and the shadow becomes a part of it. The shape of shadow was reflected on the object which it just like a kind of a pattern on the object. Like the third one from the left hand side, the cube shadow was projected on the top of the bottom one. The shadow increases the density of the cube in a different way. The dark shadow provided a sense of depth in this work. Those images inspired me to think the use of shadow. What kind of shape can provide an effective shadow shape to link up with my model and environment. l also started to think about the use of shadow. How it can enhance the physically shape of my model. Whether l should use the shadow as a repetition or a pattern of the object.

Sketching - combination of two paris

This is the view from the opening area. Referring to the quote of Stephen Hawking. He like to do something else when he gets suck in a problem. This is a nice refreshing space for him to get relax by looking at the beautiful sunset.

Finally, l chose the top one to make a model in Crysis War. Because it creates kind of balance feeling by heavy(right) and light(left) parts. The centre part is the meeting room of two scientists. The two half cube surrounded(laboratory) the meeting room are interlocking to each. The biggest cube is an openg area for connecting the outside and interior part. The left hand side cubes are also a laboratories.one pair of axonometrics in Crysis War

“It is no good getting furious if you get stuck. What I do is keep thinking about the problem but work on something else. Sometimes it is years before I see the way forward. In the case of information loss and black holes, it was 29 years.”

images captures of sketchup
This one shows the connection from the ground floor to the underground floor. The purpose of using glass door in front of the gallery is bringing the internal part of gallery outside. When you are walking in to the gallery, you can also watch the art work before you are in.
This is the first underground floor space. l 'm trying to show the connection between the studio and gallery (the middle space). The decorative wall merges two space in to one.FInal sketchup model
The top view of my model showed that it can be observed through the studio space at the bottom to gallery part till the top part. It created the connection from the bottom (inside)to the sky (outside).
This picture not just shows the whole structure of the model, but also focus on the lighting stair. It is also a large platform for gathering and connects from the ground floor to upper floor.
